Homework, Tests and Projects
The document below will be updated weekly with the upcoming school week's homework and test schedule. Feel free to print for personal use.
This year, daily homework will consist of (1) independent reading (about 20 minutes per night) and (2) a weekly homework packet. The packet consists of reading and math review questions. It is to be completed daily, according to the corresponding day of the week. It starts at the beginning of a new week and is due at the end of the week. We will review the previous day's homework every morning from Tuesday to Friday.
At times, other homework will be required. This may include: spelling packets, finishing up class assignments, book reports, sacrament books, studying, and/or working on projects from home.
Tests and quizzes will occur throughout the year for the subjects listed below. I will let students and parents know of an upcoming assessment at least 1 week in advance. Please see the bottom of this page for the retake policy.
I am a passionate about project-based learning. I like allowing students to creatively show what they've learned through both individual and group projects. Projects take up a lot of time, so we do most of it in class, and anything leftover is homework.
